Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga slow paced Yoga which works deeply into the body. Yin targets the deep connective tissues through a series of long held poses (30 seconds to 5 minutes plus!) mainly working the lower half of the body. Yin is almost entirely passive and during the asanas (poses) muscles are relaxed to prevent spasms. Yin is very meditative, and benefits include better flexibility, calming the mind, reduces stress and anxiety, releases muscle fascia and better joint mobility.
This is a great practice for those that need to stretch and relax and can act as recovery for high intensity training.
